Cowboy Bebop: Cocktail - The Sodden Rose

You're gonna carry that weight. - End credit of Cowboy Bebop

Our Cowboy Bebop cocktail is based on the rose seen floating in a puddle during the end credits of all the episodes. The rose is meant to represent Spike's lost love, Julia.

The Sodden Rose

What you need:

• 1.5 oz gin. We used gin with lemongrass

• 1.5 oz kirsch cherry brandy

• 1/4 tsp rose water

• 1 oz simple syrup

• 2 dashes of cardamom bitters

• 1 cherry for garnish

What to do:

1. Add all ingredients aside from cherry to a shaker.

2. Fill with ice.

3. Shake. Strain into a champagne flute.

4. Top with cherry flower. To make- using a small paring knife, make small slices around the cherry, starting at the bottom. Turn as you slice. As you are turning, move the knife towards the center of the cherry. When it is dropped in the drink, it should flower like a rose!
